Friends:
Ha, ha, no it’s not Valentine’s Day (again), but John and I are celebrating the release of the Spring campaign for our friends at lifestyle brand Frances Valentine that was photographed last Fall at the House of Bedlam.
Fun, right?
And a perfect brand alignment.
Started by the legendary Kate Spade and her friend Elyce Arons (along with other partners), the Frances Valentine brand captures a certain throwback resort-styled glamour that works just as well in Manhattan as it does in the bougainvillea-draped vias of Palm Beach.
Kicky.
Fun.
Spirited.
Packed with prints and patterns.
And the House of Bedlam proved to be the perfect setting—both indoors and out—for the latest Frances Valentine collections.
But how did we land the campaign? I emailed the Frances Valentine team on Instagram last spring with photos of the House of Bedlam and, luckily, received a response, and we went from there. How’s that?
So fast forward…
The FV team flew down from Manhattan to High Point, North Carolina (including the wonderfully gracious and funny Elyce Arons!), and we spent two days photographing up, down, and sideways. We laughed, we chatted, we fluffed, and we had a great time.
Even the pups got in on the action, with Weenie making a star turn on the last page of the new Frances Valentine catalogue.
Frances Valentine and Madcap Cottage. The perfect pairing.
Here, some photos from the shoot.
Bring the adventure home!
