Bahama Court: February 2025 Pattern of the Month

Pink trellis wallpaper with a green bamboo chair and pink chest in front of it

Jason Oliver Nixon |

Welcome to February and our pattern of the month, Bahama Court. This month we will be featuring this Madcap stalwart and the many ways it can be used in your home.

Inspired by the timeless glamour of vintage Palm Beach style, Bahama Court celebrates a classic lattice pattern reinterpreted and freshened-up with a unique, painterly sensibility. Says Madcap Cottage Co-Founder John Loecke, “When I painted this pattern in our North Carolina studio, I wanted to give a fresh, new life to a lattice motif, an eternal design staple. And like all Madcap Cottage fabrics and wallpapers, Bahama Court is fully customizable to match whatever color your heart desires.

At Madcap Cottage, we love to use Bahama Court fabric to upholster the perfect armchair or sofa—you really cannot go wrong with this spot-on pattern. It is also fantastic on window treatments. And it's fantastic as a wallpaper for those of you who want a splash of color with a pattern that works anywhere. Want to see for yourself? Check it out in our deep forest green, and it's fully customizable so choose any color you like. Think of Bahama Court as the perfect bridge to connect larger-scale prints and patterns and we'll be showing you how it's done in our social media feeds this month.

Bahama Court nods to the eternal good looks of Palm Beach décor, a sensibility that will never fade or grow out of style. Can’t you just see C.Z. Guest or another of those legendary PB society matrons sipping a cool martini upon a Bahama Court-wrapped chaise? Fresh. Fun. And a tad frisky. Yet rooted in history.
