John and I have just launched the Madcap Cottage for Momeni rug collection, and we cannot be happier with the results. And what a dream to work with the incredible team at Momeni in every area—from product development to sales and marketing.
Think indoor-outdoor, wool, cotton, natural fiber, and more…
Here’s some behind-the-scenes sketches from the making of the collection that is now available on the Madcap Cottage website.
Welcome to Madcap Cottage by Momeni Collection, an invitation to bring beautifully designed and accessibly priced rugs into your home. Inspired by far-flung traels and adventures, the Madcap Cottage range channels a dash of Chinoierie chic paired with cosmopolitan elan courtesy of Manhattan and a whiff of timeless English country house style. A nod to history while always fresh and forward thinking, the Madcap Cottage line of rugs will bring a unique, bespoke spin to your floors.
John and I sketched and sketched and had several meetings with the Momeni team before we flew up to the Momeni HQ in New Jersey to fine tune colors. Here’s John and Momeni design superstar Katy Repetto working together to make sure the color ways are exactly right.
John, Katy, and a new friend (Stephen, the charming son of Momeni marketing guru Rachel Fasciani) fine tune the florals in a rug inspired by the Madcap Rousham Romp pattern.
Did we choose the right blues and greys? Wow, the color options are amazing. The team at Momeni can really do anything.
Rachel Fasciani (VP, Licensing & Marketing), Hannah Levine (Head of Product Development), John, and Katy review the collections at hand.
